It's been a long time since I've submitted anything - much of my work has been professional copyrighty stuff or commissioned things that dA would disapprove of. I'm just getting back in to drawing for myself, so here's a quick spot of lineart for Maelstrom's Profound Decisions LARP.
It's mostly here to remind me to draw more; if anyone likes it, all the better. Trying to work in a little figurative element here and there.
Oh, the nightmares of drawing feminine seagulls at 3/4 perspective. It's a good point; I guess I'll have to delay my career as an illustrious, oversexed furry artist yet again.
On a serious note, I struggled with that bit; she must've been drawn six times or so before I was reasonably content. I was tempted to draw her in near-profile, like our chap on the left. However, there was no way of working it around his arm. Conversely, adding more definition drew away from the femininity of the pose. Unhappy equilibrium, etc.
Thanks for the constructive feedback. I'll keep drawing, and keep needing it.
